11th to 14th Genting, KL Trip

Genting & KL Trip  (11th to 14th March 2017)

We have been planning to bring my 80 years old Grandmother for a short trip. And since it's school holiday, we decided to go for a 4 Days, 3 Nights Genting, KL Trip.

There were a total of 11 adults and 2 kids. Hence we booked a 16 seater Van to fetch us up Genting for 1 night and down to KL for another 2 nights.

The driver, Mr Goh charged us SGD1,000 for the whole trip with 2 picking points from Singapore. But we added another 2 picking points, hence paid SGD1,040 in total.

DAY 1

Mr Goh started picking the first family at 6.00am. After we reached Johor, we went for our breakfast.

Then we headed up to Genting Highland. It was a long 5 hours plus journey. In between to stop by for toilet break and snack.

Finally we reach Genting Highland at about 3pm. And my god, the queue to check in the hotel was really scary. Finally at about 4pm , we managed to get our room.

Resorts World Genting - First World Hotel

We booked it from the link above at SGD60.00 per night for the Y5 Triple Room. It is located at a new Tower 3. I would say much cleaner and better than Tower 1 & 2.

View from our room

After check in, we went to explore the place. Compared to many years back, now Genting has added in another tower which is the Sky Avenue with more cafes and restaurants. Sad to say, the outdoor theme park is not ready yet. Hence my sons only got to play indoor with 5 rides and arcade.

DAY 2

We checked out at 11am and headed to Strawberry Farm before going down to Kuala Lumpur.

Entrance Fee of  RM10.00 for adult and RM7.50 for child.

The plucking of Strawberry  - RM8.00 per 100g. (About 8 to 9pcs)

Happy with what they had plucked

At the back of the Strawberry Farm, there is a lavender farm.

There was a professional photographer who took this pic for us. And we bought it at RM50.00 per pc

Nearer to the exit, there was a secret room which let us experience Earthquake. My house that old man together with my two monsters paid RM18.00 each.

And we headed to KL to check in our Airbnb.

Fahrenheit 88 Bukit Bintang 6-14pax

Near to malls and lots of eateries around.

A nice apartment that suit 13 of us

We were invited by my Godpa's sister for a delicious dinner.

Sek Yuen Restaurant (适苑酒家)

Address : 315, Jalan Pudu, Pudu, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

My monster was so happy that he managed to take a picture of the TWIN TOWER when we were on our way back.

DAY 3

In order to miss the heavy traffic in KL, we woke up at 6am, left house at 7am. We took GRAB to bring us to Batu Cave for less than RM20.00

To get to the Temple Cave, you will need to climb the steep 272 steps to the top of the Batu Caves.

The rule is no short shorts or short skirts above the knee. And shirt must be with sleeve. If not you got to rent a Sarong of RM3.00 just like me. Pay RM5.00 first and upon return, they will refund RM2.00

Take note that please do not bring food along with you as there are too many monkeys there waiting to snatch them.

After that we went shopping at the different malls near our place.

DINNER TIME!
Alor Street Food Night Market

DAY 4

We checked out at 11.30am and headed to Palm Garden Hotel IOI Resort City Putrajaya for our lunch before heading back to Singapore.

Evaporated milk can be requested for extra creaminess and rich-tasting Tom Yam Broth. For those who could not take spiciness like my grandmother and son, a clear chicken broth is available.

Also, fruits were being served at the end of the meal. The meal include free flow of leamon grass tea too.

Thumbs up for the service too!

14th March - My house that old man BIRTHDAY! And my mum bought a cake for him.

And we headed home!

More trips to come!!!!!
